Please Read The Following Before Booking

In order to save you costs and delays associated with security deposits, we use preauthorization. You hereby grant Relaxed Retreat LLC permission to charge your credit card for any damages or other expenses that we incur as a result of your rental.

This is a pet friendly resort. We welcome your furry friends which weigh under 80 pounds each and are well trained and socialized. You will be asked to leave without refund if your pet is aggressive toward other pets or guests. We do charge a fee based on cabin size that covers normal wear and expected fur/odors. Damage or mess that we deem excessive will be charged to your account post checkout with photographic evidence, just as it would with any other guest.

Please let us know if you suffer from pet related allergies so we can attempt to accommodate you.

If you want access to a full refund up to 24 hours in advance of your check-in for ANY reason, purchase our trip insurance policy at the time you make your reservation.

While we offer excellent service in a gorgeous setting, this is not a luxury hotel.  We offer a chance to be with nature, away from the chaos of the city.  Encounters with insects and wildlife are common on our property. Do not stay with us if you have an acute fear of insects or other wildlife.

LODGING RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check-In time is 4 – 7 pm, We can usually accommodate early and late arrivals if you contact us at least 24 hours in advance. Check-out time is 7 – 11 am Late check-outs may be available for a fee and must be approved in advance.
  2. MAXIMUM GUESTS: Each unit has a maximum number of overnight guests that will be allowed to stay. Your reservation clearly states the number of people in your party. A $50 per person, per day fee will be added for each additional guest, including children, that are not on your reservation. This rule is for your safety in emergency situations. We must know how many guests are on site at any time.
  3. VEHICLES, BOAT, AND TRAILERS: The reservation determines the number of vehicles permitted at each cabin. All other vehicles must check in at the office and purchase a valid parking pass for $10 per day. You are responsible for your guests with this and every other policy. Vehicles not displaying a pass will be charged a penalty of $25 per day.
  4. FIRES: Fires are allowed only on the shore area in the burn barrels. Burn barrels must NOT be removed from their original location. Only burn wood! No trash!
  5. GRILLS: No grilling on porches or decks. All grills must be used on the ground, not on the deck, and cleaned after use.
  6. PETS: A non-refundable pet fee is required for each pet. Aggressive pets are not allowed. This fee is required for all pets on the premises. Pets must be always kept on a leash, and each guest is responsible for cleaning up after their pet. There is a $50 fine for not having your pet on a leash or not cleaning up after them. The leash is critical for your pet’s safety due to wildlife and other pets and guests on our property. Repeated violations will result in ejection with no refund.
  7. TRASH: Upon check-out, please take your trash to the dumpsters, which are located near the park entrance between the green storage buildings.
  8. HOUSEKEEPING and SUPPLIES: No housekeeping is provided, unless you stay for over one week. Each cabin is stocked with a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, blankets, sheets, towels, pots, pans, etc. Should you need additional items, please come to the marina store. We will trade towels for free, and we have paper products for sale. If you are missing something at check-in, please let us know.
  9. KEYS: You have signed for cabin key(s). Keys must be returned in person to the marina at departure. The same number of keys you signed for must be returned upon check-out during normal business hours. Lost key replacement will be $100 per key.
  10. SMOKING: ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING in cabins. If we find that you have been smoking, you will be fined $200.
  11. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: All alcoholic beverages must be kept in a cup or koozie.  Please respect other guests at all times.
  12. LITTERING: We have zero tolerance for littering on premises. Litter includes cigarette butts, candy wrappers, beer or soda cans, etc. You will be charged at our discretion with a minimum fine of $50.
  13. QUIET HOURS: Park quiet hours are observed from 10 pm to 7 am, Disorderly conduct and arguing with management about any park rules and regulations are grounds for ejection from the resort with no refund.
  14. VISITORS: You are responsible for your guests. All visitors must abide by the rules and regulations of the park. Visiting hours are from 7 am to 10 pm. All visitors on premises after 10pm will be charged $50 per person overnight fee.
  15. CHECK OUT: Please follow the checkout procedures in the cabin to avoid an additional cleaning fee.
  16. REFUNDS: NO REFUNDS after check-in.  Inquire about partial refunds and rescheduling OVER 7 days before check-in.  If you want access to a full refund over 24 hours in advance of your check-in (before 4pm the day before arrival) for ANY reason, purchase our trip insurance policy at the time you make your reservation.
  17. WILDLIFE: The joy of staying in this gorgeous area is being a part of nature. As such, you can expect to see some or all of the following list: alligators, poisonous snakes, biting and stinging insects, nuisance insects. You, the guest, are responsible for your safety and the safety of your children and pets. Please use caution, especially around the shoreline and tall grasses. Do not throw fish remains or any other food in the water. Feeding alligators makes them a danger to you and all other guests.  

RV Specific Information

  1. No weight limit on dogs, but the other pet rules apply.  Check in time noon, check out 11am.  All other rules apply.

BOAT RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. No child under the age of 2 is permitted on a rental boat.
  2. Any guests returning their boat to our dock after 6pm will be charged a fee equal to half of their rental.
  3. Late arrivals will be charged $20 per hour for non-powered boats, $50 per hour
    for Jon boats, and $100 per hour for pontoon boats.
  4. Please stay within the boundaries of your map. The boundaries for pontoons are the I-95 Bridge, Santee State Park, and the stump fields/cypress trees.  You are responsible for towing and damage if you are outside of the given boundaries. Towing is $200.00 per hour plus the cost of damage.  The boundaries for Jon boats, canoes and kayaks are Jack’s Creek inlet ONLY (If you see the bridge or big water, come back immediately).
  5. You are responsible for all damage and are liable for your boating actions during
    your rental period. The number of people listed on the reservation will remain the
    same during the duration of this boat rental. You will not pick up guests from
    other locations. Relaxed Retreat LLC is NOT responsible for or liable in the case
    of an accident or injury or weather change of any type. You are renting the boat at your own risk.
  6. NO boat will be rented if there is a small craft advisory or warning. NO boat rentals if wind speed is 15 mph or above.
  7. Life jackets should be worn by all guests while boats are moving.  Life jackets MUST be worn by minors at all times while in our rented boats.
  8. All guests should be seated inside the boats at all times while the boat is moving.
